DIGITal improvement by GAME in teaching
DIGITgame project intends to improve scientific skills and competence through a more effective, innovative teaching methods; we address this goal teaching well defined scientific thematic by a direct involvement of students in understanding/assimilating concepts and applying lesson learned in developing and improving a didactic game with challenges based on the scientific concepts acquired. In order to obtain these goals, project will be organized in a process of teaching development (phase 1) and a phase of intellectual outputs production (phase 2).
MULTIPLIER EVENT
ON LINE EVENT 10th December 2020
The multiplier event that had been organized for the month of March 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Consortium team has revised the program planned for the event, adapting it as much as possible to the modality of the online event organizing a qualified exchange occasion following the requirements of the ERASMUS agency indications. The event was organized on 10th December in English language and was coordinated and moderated by the Coordinator of the project in cooperation with all partners. 145 people attended the multiplier online event of which students, teachers and stakeholders from mainly Turkey and Italy, but also from other countries. The Multiplier online event reached a large number of people from various countries thanks to the communication and exploitation activities supported by all partners through different channels.
During the event the different outputs carried out during the project have been presented with the aim of disseminating results and stimulating discussion on the core themes of environmental education STEM and ICT-related innovations. Pedagogical material (IO1), STEM Videogame developed (IO2), Toolkit for Players (IO3) and Methodology for Exchange innovative experiences (IO4) were presented and discussed by each output coordinator with the aim of involving and enticing other schools in the dissemination and capitalization of results.
Furthermore, students and teachers involved during the project in Italy and Turkey took part and were involved during the multiplier event through the ‘storytelling’ of their DIGITgame experience. This moment represented a great opportunity for students to share their experience at European level, increase presentation skills and personal skills.
During the conference 4 international speakers were invited to present their research on the conference and project thematic. This moment has been very important to motivate students in sharing their experiences and knowledge with scientific experts. At the same time all students and participants at the multiplier event could interact with experts by asking them curiosities, doubts and questions.
In order to involve all participants, during the multiplier event, the consortium organized moments of exchange and virtual interaction thanks to a survey carried out through Mentimeter software.
